FORT WAYNE, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) - A federal indictment could be unsealed on Friday in a case that's attracting national attention.

On Thursday, FBI agents carried items like wine and sports memorabilia from Michael Fabini's home, there all considered evidence because any items purchased or gained in the course of any potential illegal activity is evidence until it's ruled otherwise.

We also learned that the FBI is continuing to make raid in the Fort Wayne area. Five additional homes are said to have been raided.

We?ll have more on this developing story tonight at 5 and 6.

____
The FBI is still searching the Fort Wayne home of the brother of former- NFL standout Jason Fabini.

The FBI raided the home of Michael Fabini and a detached garage of Jason Fabini.

A county SWAT team kicked off the search at Michael Fabini's home in the Cherry Hill addition on the northeast side of Fort Wayne early Thursday morning.

The FBI brought two trucks in to begin hauling evidence away.

Multiple sources say the raid is apart of a massive drug investigation, that Michael Fabini has been under surveillance for, for at least four months, and that agents found an abundant amount of cash in the house, which is equipped with an elaborate security camera system.

The multi-agency investigation also raided a building on NFL star Jason Fabini's Wheelock Road property.

Sources say some evidence was seized from a detached garage there, but that Jason is not necessarily the target of this investigation.

At this time no arrests have been made in connection to the investigation.

The FBI raided at least one other home, in Chandler's Landing, believed to be a home of a friend.

There have been no federal indictments, but the court documents have been sealed.

The following is a statement issued by Jason Fabini:

"Earlier today, December 6, warrants were served by investigators authorizing them to search a portion of my property and to search the home belonging to my brother, Michael and other family members. I have cooperated fully with authorities, and will continue to do so. I am not the target of the investigation and I was not involved in any criminal activity. I have not be charged, nor do I expect to be charged with a crime.

"My first concern is obviously with my brother and the rest of my family, but I want to reaffirm my commitment to the community and to those who believe in me as a role model, volunteer, professional, and athlete. I have always made service to others a priority and I will continue to do so even during this challenging time for my family.

"I expect the community will have many questions as rumors circulate and this investigation continues, but I ask that we trust in the authorities to do their job."
