India wants to question Iranians in Delhi terror blast case
NEW DELHI: India will ask Iran for access to a few of its citizens who may hold the key to the February blast in Goa, which injured an Israeli diplomat?s wife, union home minister P Chidambaram said on Saturday.
Addressing a press conference in New Delhi Chidambaram also said that Indian authorities are in touch with their counterparts in Iran in connection with the issue.
?We are in touch with the government of Iran and with the embassy of Iran in India in order to be able to access certain persons for questioning. The Ministry of External Affairs is handling the matter. I can?t say anything more than that,? the home minister said.
The February 13 blast had injured Israeli military attache?s wife Tal Yehoshua and three other persons, after a sticker bomb rigged on the bonnet of the car she was travelling in exploded.
One person, an Indian journalist Syed Kazmi writing for an Iranian news agency from New Delhi has already been arrested by the police, while the Interpol has issued look-out notices against Houshang Irani, Mohammadreza Abolghasemi, Syed Mahdiansadr, and Masoud Sedaghatzadeh, all Iranians.
