Law La Palooza to offer free legal help | Albuquerque N.M. | KRQE ...

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - More than 100 attorneys will be in one place Tuesday, giving legal advice and answering questions, for free.

The event is called Law La Palooza and anyone can go and the even is especially helpful to low income folks.

?We?re in really tough economic times now. People are suffering from foreclosure,? Judge Shannon Bacon said. ?They?re falling further and further into debt and paying for a lawyer is really difficult to do.?

Officials say 800 people attended the event last year.

Law La Palooza will be held Tuesday at the Albuquerque Convention Center, in ballrooms B and C, from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Lawyers are preparing to give each person who shows up 30 minutes of free legal help.

Organizers say no one will be turned away.
